# CJP Says Lok Sabha Blocked Three Sets of Questions on the Youth Protests and NEET-UG

The Cockroach Janta Party said three sets of questions its allies had raised in the Lok Sabha during the Monsoon Session, covering the youth protests and the NEET-UG controversy, were disallowed on procedural grounds. DMK member Matheswaran V S had submitted the questions, addressed to the Union Home Ministry and the Union Education Ministry, under notice reference numbers 101799 and 101801.

The questions asked about refunding NEET-UG 2026 application fees, paper leak incidents, the government's engagement with protesting students, and the denial of drinking water and sanitation facilities to CJP protesters camped in Delhi. They were disallowed under Rule 41(2) of the Lok Sabha's Rules of Procedure, with officials citing clauses that bar questions judged too general, argumentative, or seeking an opinion rather than a fact.

CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das called the questions perfectly legitimate and asked where else the government could be held to account if not on the floor of Parliament. The party has led youth focused protests since June 2026 over NEET-UG concerns and alleged paper leaks, a movement that drew activist Sonam Wangchuk into a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar and culminated in a July 20 march during which police were accused of using pellet guns on demonstrators.

That pressure had already produced one concession, with the government accepting a set of the protesters' demands, including the resignation of the Education Minister. The disallowed questions suggest the argument over how the protests and their aftermath get discussed is still unresolved, even as the underlying demands have been partly met.
